Corporate Social Responsibility
  • Corporate Social Responsibility is a form of the Company's commitment to improve the welfare and quality life of the employees, community and environment. The Company is fully aware that in order to reach the Company's long term goal required a harmonious synergy between business activities with the surrounding environment and community, in which the Company is a unity and part of the community.

    As a sustainable program of Corporate Social Responsibility from last year, the Company's Corporate Social Responsibility program 2017 prioritized in the field of education and poverty alleviation of the community around the Company's environment, where in the formulation and its implementation, the Company has always coordinated with the local government and surrounding community. The Company is also constantly strive to improved Health and Safety Workplace program (K3) and preserving environment for its employees and surrounding community.

    Throughout the year 2017, the Company has implemented Corporate Social Responsibility programs in the following area:

    Environment

    The Company strives to always be consistent in implementing environment preservation within the workplace, with conducted nature conservation program within the factory environment, management of industrial waste and pollution prevention. The Company's effort have been proven by obtaining the ISO 14001:2004 certification from SGS Systems and Services Certification since 2004.

    The Company has also been awarded the Performance Rating Program in Environmental Management (PROPER - Blue Rank) for the period 2016-2017 which was obtained from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry of the Republic of Indonesia.

    The Company's industrial waste is managed by PT Wastec International which already have a license from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry No. 546/menlhk-sekjen/2015 in 2015 on the Extension of Permit Management of Hazardous and Toxic for Waste Treatment Hazardous and Toxic PT Wastec International, which applicable from March 31, 2015 until March 30, 2020 (five years).

    Health and Safety

    The Company also realizes the importance of Health and Safety Workplace program (K3) in the working environment as well as in the environment surrounding the Company. With the implementation of K3 program, the Company committed to protect health and safety of its employees by strive to create healthy and safety environment, with sending its employees to follow training and workshop K3, in order to acquire the necessary skills, in addition the Company also facilitates the provision of K3 equipment to support the K3 program.

    Since 2013, the Company has obtained international recognition in standard of healthy and safety workplace which is certification of Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series (OHSAS 18001:2007) from international accreditation institution, SGS Systems and Services Certification. The obtaining of this certification is a proof of the Company's efforts in promoting health and safety in the work environment. In 2017, the Company also has received Zero Accident award from Mayor of Cilegon, Banten, West Java over the Company's effort to preserve safety of its employees during 2017.

    The Company also regularly provides medical check-up facilities for all its employees, medical reimbursements for its employees and their families, and also entered into a collaboration with several hospitals surrounding the Company operates, to ensure the health and emergency handling for its employees and their families. The Company also supports the Government's program in Social Security Agency (BPJS) Health and Employment, wherein all the Company's employees are included in the BPJS program to ensure their safety and health.

    Social and Community Development

    In the field of social and community development, in 2017 the Company has implemented several programs as follows:

    The Company in collaboration with Happy Heart Foundation has provided assistance for Early Childhood Education School (PAUD) Taman Hati, Kronjo Village, Tangerang in the form of school buildings and other supporting facilities. The main purpose of this assistance is to establish a quality Indonesian child, a child who grows and develops in accordance with the level of development so as to have optimal readiness in entering basic education. The Company provides scholarships for students with outstanding achievement at several schools with the level of elementary school (SD), located in the Company's factory environment.

    Participating in scholarship Diploma I (Chemistry) in Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University (UNITIRTA) for graduates high schools students around the Company's factory environment.

    The Company also provides employment for member of youth organization Karang Taruna and giving the opportunities for students to do the job training in the Company.

    The Company participating in social and religious activities such as providing qurban animals for surrounding community, donations for community celebration and sport activities and also donations for religion and education foundations.

    Product Liability

    The Company has a commitment to provide the quality product for its customers. The Company's credibility to keep its products quality has been recognized through the certification of international quality standard ISO 9001:2008 that were obtained since 2003.

    Moreover, the just-in-time delivery system implemented by the Company has allowed the Company to supply the customers punctually. The ability to implement this delivery service enables our customers to reduce their storage cost and manage their stock efficiency.

    Total cost that have been allocated to fund the Company's Corporate Social Responsibility activities over period 2017 was IDR 250 million.

    For the Corporate Social Responsibility program in the coming year, the Company will still remain to consider socio-economic condition both inside and outside the company and will actively participate in it. Corporate Social Responsibility program will remain emphasized to the programs in the education and community health in surrounding the Company's environment. In addition to the Company's will also improve health and safety facilities within the Company environment and implementing nature conservation program both in and around the factory environment.
