By operating three production units in one location, the Company's current total installed production capacity is 210,000 MT per year, consist of 120,000 MT Linear Alkylbenzene (LAB) from production unit one and two (Alkylation Unit/UAB) and remaining 90,000 MT Branched Alkylbenzene (BAB) originated from the third production unit. LAB production process is derived from the production process in Paraffin Convert to Olefins (PACOL) unit.

Of the installed capacity, the utilized capacity in 2002 reached 191,746 MT or 91.31% of installed capacity. The production amount is higher compared to the previous year, where it only reached 171,327 MT. Out of the total production, 59.9 1% was LAB, with a production volume of 114,880 MT, increased by 1.36% compared to 2001's production volume of 113,337 MT. Meanwhile BAB's production volume reached 76,866 MT, increased by 20.12% compared to last year's figure of 63,990 MT.

To anticipate a future rise in sales of AB, the Company plans to increase the production capacity of AB to 270,000 MT per year. In this regard, currently the Company is in the middle of negotiations with Universal Oil Product (UOP), the United States of America , regarding the debottlenecking plan for the PACOL and UAB units. Debottlenecking is expected to be completed and ready for commercial operation at the end of 2004.
